The Ultimate Man Day
Do you wake up feeling just “meh”? Not bad, but not great either? You start with the hope that today will be different, but it ends up like every other day. You make lists of things to do, but “life” happens, and you end up doing only a few, if any, of them. Looking back, the best days are when you get a lot done. But what made those days different? How can you have more good days and fewer bad ones?
Dr. Charles Mills pondered these questions and decided to find out how to create the ultimate day. Not a perfect day, but a fulfilling one. He analyzed his thoughts and grouped the components of his best days. His initial list was chaotic, filled with must-dos, should-dos, distractions, frustrations, and even bouts of mild depression.
Writing things down and defending their importance helped him realize some items didn’t belong on the list. Inspired by books like Simon Sinek’s “Find Your Why” and “The One Thing” by Gary W. Keller and Jay Papasan, he understood the need for discipline and focus. It’s about finding your purpose and understanding what life has prepared you for.
